Administrative Assistant

Department: Staff
Location:

The Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing effective clinical education and guidance to students, facilitating their transition from classroom learning to practical application in a clinical environment. The Clinical Assistant will Assist the Clinical Coordinator the placing of students in the clinical sites.

Responsibilities:

  • Contract potential clinical sites, maintain ongoing records of contact and follow up as needed.
  • Place students in clinical rotation site with the approval of the Clinical Coordinator
  • Record and maintain Students weekly time sheet hours, daily exam log, weekly exam logs and weekly self-assessment.
  • Contact clinical sites mentors approximately week 6 of term, for review of student’s progression.
  • Verify students’ health records meets the clinical site requirements prior to their attendance, update records as needed.
  • Enter request for student into ACEMAPP, including immunizations, BLS CPR, Respirator Fit Text, Background Checks
  • Contact students when the Mentor’s schedule changes.
  • Review with Coordinator students’ documents
  • Answer the school phone as needed.
  • File student’s clinical documents
  • Assist in preparing Clinical Documents and Clinical Objective folders for clinical rotation.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong communications skills, both verbal and written
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with a diverse range of people.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using office software.
  • Basic knowledge of office equipment and technology.
  • Customer service oriented
  • Ability to multitask and handle various responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and tasks.
  • Previous experience in customer service, reception, or administrative roles in beneficial but not always required.
